Family Staycation at The Straits Hotel & Suites Review

Hiiiii!!

I'm writing a hotel review for the first time! hehe. First thing first, thanks so much TSHS for the invitation for me and my family. <3

So my family and I (6pax) had a staycation here in The Straits Hotel & Suites which is located in the heart of Bandar Melaka last month.

visit their website as below for more info about this hotel ;)

This hotel is very nearby almost everything you would ever want to find in Melaka like shopping malls, historical sites, famous food spot (for example: Ee ji ban chicken rice ball!) and even all other entertainment/relaxing places like massages parlour, karaoke place etc. Literally at the heart of Bandar Melaka!

Location Rating by me:
very strategic! especially to tourists. I'm sure you can easily find the places in you itinerary hehe.

We were given a Family Room which is actually consist of 2 different rooms; The Straits Suites and Deluxe Twin Room connected. I like the fact that they're connnected, perfect for family!

What's in the room?

The Straits Suites
king size bed
- with a separate living area
- spacious bathroom with bathtub and standing rain shower
- sofa set
- day chair
- tea coffee making facilities
- dining table
- fridge
- microwave
- writing table
- kitchen top

the connection between the two rooms

Deluxe Twin Room
Twin single Bed
- ensuite bathroom with standing rain showers
- day chair
- fridge
- tea & coffee making facilities
- writing table
- kitchen top

Room Cleanliness Rate by me:
very clean!

Room Facilities Rate by me:
I minus the mark at the induction cooking  at the kitchen counter. It's available there but we can't use it. They might as well need not to put there haha. Some staffs said it's a dummy, but, we found that it can actually work?? I don't know.. So just nevermind then.. ^_^"

I really recommend that you get rooms at a higher floor for better view!

Floor 16

Room wifi rating by me:
every rooms has its very own modem therefore it's very fasttttt!! who doesn't love fast connection right. +1 mark hehe

My family and I stayed, rest in the room most of the time (a staycation right) so overall we're satisfied with the rooms and enjoyed our stay - very cosy, comfortable and relaxing. :)

The Straits Hotel & Suites (TSHS) facilities that my family and I get to try:-

1) Rooftop Infinity swimming pool

Of course we wouldn't want to miss to come up to the rooftop and enjoy the swimming pool! It's very beautiful up there where you can also get to see beautiful view of Selat Melaka! I think this place would be perfect to organize occasion or event at night because next to it is a restaurant called Pizzaria Restaurant and Bar.

Rating by me:
Unfortunately I think the swimming pool not big enough to accomodate a lot of people. Also, due to swimming pool is usually booked for occasions at night, we have to go in the afternoon and it is especially hot at midday! >_<

Pizzaria Restaurant and Bar

2) Amalaka Restaurant

Buffet breakfast

Variety of food rating by me:
There are plenty of choices for you!

Food taste rating by me:
So-so taste huhu

Space rating by me:
I think this restaurant is quite small. especially the indoor space. somemore the table is very small, can only fit 2 person. it's not family-friendly. outside is better but it's not the most cosy space huhu.

Cleanliness of the restaurant rating by me:

FYI, for  room, only 2 persons are entitled for the buffet breakfast, therefore, you'll to buy if you guys come in more than 2 pax. Price for adults: RM32, Children: RM16

Other facilities here (didn't get to try them unfortunately but they look good! hehe)

1) Sauna

2) Gym

So here's my overall rating:

I recommend this place. It's not bad, I mean not bad at all! It's worth it.

Please visit TSHS website for more info and for booking!

That is all from me today.

Until next time!

Althea Petal Velvet Powder | Review

السلام علىكم

Good Day!

Althea just celebrated their 2nd birthday recently and things are getting a little more exciting than that. They launched their very 1st brand product!! Woot woot! It's called Althea Petal Velvet Powder.

I'm thrilled to be among the first Althea fans who get to try and review it! So honored. Thanks so much Althea for the trust :')

Insta-story

Just who wouldn't feel excited seeing the pink parcel?!! hehe. It gets me EVERY TIME!

So this Althea Petal Velvet powder is a light weight white loose powder that is meant to leave your face a silky finish. It's made with pure, natural ingredients and one of the main ingredients is Althea flower extracts.

Super fine powder. Easy to blend into the skin with just the puff provided, you don't need a brush! Smells amazing too. The floral scent is strong but not too overpowering. I can also smell a hint of citrusy and herbal-y; a calming scent.

Honestly, I am not that kind of person who likes to set my foundation with powder. I only do for few occasions like functions, events or weddings. I liked to have my face looked a little bit 'moist' most of the time. However the problem with that is over time, because of my combination skin type, my T-zone looks more oily T_T

So when I tried this Althea Velvet Petal Powder, it totally changed my minds. I can still set my base lightly and over the time, my face looks even better! no more overly oily but just a little bit satin-y.

I loveeeee the flawless finish it gives to my face!!! smooth and silky! the best part is it still looks natural on the skin; never cake-y.

CLOSE UP!

Hands down. I'll forever be an Althea fan! haha.

This product is
priced at: RM16
so you can shop at: www.althea.kr / althea apps
now to get it hehe.

Thanks for being here!

Until next time!

My First Laser Aesthetic Treatment with One Doc Medical | 4 StepMedicalFacial Review

السلام عليكم

Hiii!

I'm back with another skin care topic. This time it's about a facial treatment (as you read the title right). Not an ordinary facial treatment that I usually go once a month - it's an aesthetic facial treatment! It was my first! I never opt for an aesthetic one. It never occurred in my mind. Why? I guess it was because I was scared with the serious sounded so-called aesthetic and I was not really convinced (or maybe had no trust at all haha) with an aesthetic treatment before.I was too scared to jeopardize my face! haha! So let me tell you people my first ever aesthetic facial treatment experience that was performed by One Doc Medical! hehe.

The name of the treatment is One Doc Medical's Signature 4-Step Medical Facial or in short, I would describe it as a laser treatment as it involved lasers! hehe.

Before any info regarding the treatment, I want to briefly show you One Doc Medical outlet that I went in Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara. It's located just beside the KK Mart, same row with Maybank and Public Bank.

I really like the minimalist and clean looking interior!

There have other outlets which are in Puchong, Publika, Penang, and Johor.

Soooo moving on to the Signature 4-step Medical Facial that I did.

Step 1: Hydrofacial:

I came here right after work so I was with my everyday-to-work makeup look hehe. So before they start with this first step, they wipe off the makeup. Then only this hydrofacial starts. This hydrofacial is like the deep intense skin cleaning, I'd say. They use the machine which will feels like  subtle suction after water (explains the hydro part) blows into your pores. It was meant not only evenly exfoliates, removes impurities and dead skin cells on the face but it also replenishes vital nutrients such as Antioxidants, Peptides and Hyaluronic Acid that are important to our skin.

The benefits of this step are:
✓ Remove blackhead/ white head
✓ Reduce acne/ oily skin
✓ Reduce pore size
✓ Remove pigment/ uneven skin tone

Step 2: One Doc Signature laser:

Jeng jeng jeng. haha. Here comes the scary laser part! XD. Disclaimer here:  All laser and light therapy are performed by laser consultant and trained therapist. I was scared for nothing! hehe. What they did was they shoot me with the Q-Switched Nd-yag laser for 15 minutes. If you ask me how it felt like, I'd describe it as a mild tingling sensation when you feel electrostatic; with the spark. That's a very precise description I think. I can also smell the burn as it shot my face hair haha. However I assure you it was not painful at all! hehe. It left me with a cleaner and clearer brighter skin at instant! They first did half of my face and show me the difference. It was really showing! I was told that regular treatments will improve skin tone while reduce pigmentations, pimples, pores and induces skin tightening.

Step 3: Omega light therapy

This is a low level light therapy which is to enhance your skin's natural cellular recovery, reduce acne outbreak, promoting skin rejuvenation and enhances skin repair post-laser treatment. Feel like nothing; no heat feeling, na-da.

Step 4: Serum Infusion

This last step is my favourite step. hehe. I really like ice cold feeling on the face; not just the feeling, also the benefits thay I know it would give me especially that lifting benefit! who wouldn't want a tight lifted young looking face?!! So, this ia a hybrid, antioxidant serum to combat free radical. It is an absorbable, leave-on treatment that improves the appearance of ageing signs as well as texture and clarity. I love the hydration, moisturization it left my skin too! (Y)

This treatment is retailed at RM799 but I would share you this fun promotion! of course! hehe. Grab the first trial for RM499 only to enjoy the complete and refreshing treatment !!!!

My Skincare Routine featuring Swissvita Products | with Review

السلام علىكم

Today I want to share my current skincare routine which I have started a month ago religiously. I have come to the phase where everything needs to be done fast; well that includes my skincare routine of course haha. #mommyproblem. I have longgg left my favourite 10-steps skincare routine hehe. no time mannn. haha. This time, my routine is the must do 3-step.

FYI, I'm collaborating with All Young Swissvita Skinlab Malaysia this time.
FB PAGE : https://www.facebook.com/swissvitamalaysia/

These are the 3 main products of my skincare routine.

For the past goood one month, since I started these products, I didn't get a single pimple/acne! really!! I don't know if external factors affect this but as I know, I was using those products.

You can check out their website and products' description here too:-
URL :https://goo.gl/KbRdm6

STEP 1
Cleanse

Micrite 3D All Use Cleanser Cream

Clean clean clean. It's the first vital step of a skincare routine. You need a clean base for good absorption of other skincare products later. Also, at least let you skin breathe freely from all the dirt you have on your face please! haha. This cleanser is the foam cream type that creates fine foam. it has no fragrance and is very gentle to the skin. It also leaves a clean feeling yet moisturizing. I really cannot bear with cleansers that stripped all of the oil. It will make my face feel very tight and dry -_-. So, this cleanser is good; it cleanses and moisturized the skin well at the same time. (Y)

STEP 2
Tone

Acne Solution Skin Balancing Toner

Toner is also important to prep your base for more skincare products. It also helps balance the pH level of your facial skin after the cleanser. In fact, some toner is also meant to further clean your skin. Depending on your facial skin needs. The toner that is also cleansing can be drying to some skin type like mine nowadays. So I prefer a toner like this which just meant to carefully medically prep your skin. This toner is a milky type. You have to shake well before use. I just my palm to apply; no cotton pad. Just tap onto the skin until it's absorbed. It is a very mild toner; gentle to skin and it leaves my face feeling soft and balanced. It has no fragrance too.

STEP 3
Moisturize

Acne Solution Serum

Different people (different skin) needs different kind of moisturization. As for myself, my skin type and condition changes accordingly to the environments factors etc. On most days, I only apply this serum as moisturizer. This serum feels more like a medicine to me haha maybe because there's a hint of medicine smell as I apply it. With a few small dots, I just rub it on my face until absorbed. However it is not very moisturizing to very dry skin like mine. So on days where I feel like my skin is more dry, I will at least layer an aloe vera gel on top for an extra moisture. If it's super more dry, I will layer with a more concentrated moisturizer. Let's talk about layering products in separate entry. hehe. I love layering products, fyi! XD

Acne free skin (for now but hopefully until forever haha)! yeay hehe.

Packing Hospital Bag | Welcoming My Baby Journey

السلام عليكم

Hi.

Today's entry is to help my pregnant friends and acquaintances (which are a lot weh hahaha, good luck btw girls!) packing their hospital bag. hehe. Those who packed can double check the checklist I have. I got you covered! hee

FYI, I only refer to one checklist that I saw and took picture of in momhousebaby shop in Shah Alam while I was shopping the essentials. I double checked the list with the input I got during antenatal class that I went to in HUKM. So, no overpack, I swear. haha. In fact, it's the perfect list to me (you can trust me on this, say someone who is so bad at packing :P)

The only thing that you need to consider is how many days you will stay in the hospital. The quantity of the things will depend on that. For me, I estimate my stay would be at most 4 days (turned out I really stayed for 4 days! Alhamdulillah). Everything fits in this one bag (my husband's; perfume free gift). So, cool! hee

Instastory. True story. haha.
Yup. I am that person who always overthink and over worried.. so.. yeah, I packed quite early. As soon as I reached week 33rd.

The checklist
Save this picture okay hehe

The 'Ayah' part is only needed if the daddy will be staying together with the mommy at the hospital. In my case, it is not applicable as my husband was not allowed to stay (HUKM is a semi government hospital) huhu so yeah no need. my house is only like 15minutes away from the hospital so it's okay la haha.

Also, I included dates in the 'Bakul' part (you should too) because they are really helpful in providing the energy you need!

Hope this entry is helpful!

Thanks for being here.
Until next time.

XOXO
