Kids' Birthday Gifts Tips and Tricks

side note: Long Overdue Entry >_<

It was Baby's birthday (I know I'm supposed to call her by name by now but I'm just so much in denial about my lil' sister growing up. she's already 9! T_T) and I was very broke at that time hahaha but I still manage to prepare Baby a gift(s).

Here's to 3 simple tips and tricks for a low budget presents for kids:-

1) prepare more than 1 presents. it's about the quantity. I remember the best part of my childhood birthday besides the birthday cake was to unwrap the presents from mama(!) they don't have to be expensive at all. if you really want to cut the cost, buy a set of something, for example, stationaries, wrap them separately. that's how you can easily increase the quantity hehe.

2) put gifts into a larger box that can fit them all. pull some gimmicks. haha. you know Russian dolls? a.k.a matryoshka doll which a set of wooden dolls of decreasing size placed one inside the other..? I have always been fascinated with that doll and I know kids do too. it keeps us anticipating. that's how you apply the idea. make kids anticipate and be excited for everything you have prepared.

3) give a meaningful birthday card. of course, preferably DIY-ed. but if you have no time to make one (like I did), haha, you can easily find cool cards in bookstores these days.
like this one for instance, is meant for a princess-like birthday girl like Baby because it has a crown inside the card and all we have to is to detach it from the card and attach a string (or in our case, I attached ribbon from the gift wraps) to it and she can instantly became a princess hahahahaha XD

andddd That's it! heee

Thanks for reading! :)
Until next time :)

p/s: dear Baby, (which I know she's reading. in fact, she's my loyal blog reader hehhehe)
sorry for the so-so birthday presents. wait till kakak is officially an engineer (which is InsyaAllah very soon kan?), I'll sure to buy you more exciting stuff, okay? Be a good girl! Kakak loves you sooooo muchh!

Shop with Rakuten (My Top 5 Item Wishlist)

Few days ago, I was introduced to Rakuten and boy, you have no idea how much time I've spent on that website looking at all the stuff it has!! If you don't already know this, Rakuten is one of the largest online shopping website. It's literally like a shopping mall but you can save fuel expenses, your time as well as your energy! how cool that sounds?? hehehe *evils smile emoticon*

If I am to pick the top 5 items I would purchase from Rakuten, it would be these:-

Being a sucker to beauty stuff, I just can't say no to this. It's an ultimate home spa. As much as I love to indulge doing facial treatment, body massage, foot spa, pedicure etc etc by the experts, let's be realistic here, I can't always afford them. Even a once a month treatment is a pain in the ass. But does that means that no pamper-myself time? definitely not with this stuff! I can pamper myself as much as I want at any time! In fact, this stuff actually offers a lot more than that!

with 9 accessories for a full body spa treatment, this Derma Seta is the professional, handheld mini skin spa kit that offers services like hair removal, pedicure, micro and macro massage kit, body buffer etc etc!! and it only cost you RM47 (inclusive of GST btw)!

what is your favourite past time? mine is eating!! hahaha! I am a believer in food taste best when shared. So, it's just awesome to spend weekends share great times talking, eating and laughing with family or friends!

Feasting on both Korean BBQ and Steamboat! This reminds me a lot of one of my favourite restaurant, Seoul Garden! with this bbq and steamboat, spending time with family can't never be more fun!! weekends bbq and steamboat activity? sounds perfect to me!!
it's only RM180 !

This, has been in my wishlist of home appliances as a present for mama for the longestttt time! One of the most ingenious invention of all time!! It's like the intelligent assistant that will keep the house clean. This terrabot is so smart. with all the features programmed, like the 'anti-fall sensing system' which senses stairs or drop offs, 'auto recharging' which enables terraBot return to its recharging station when low on power and 'scheduling feature' that let TerraBot Robotic Vacuum Cleaner Neo BL11A start cleaning even when you are not at home. it can even be controlled it with the provided remote control..just like playing the fun remote control car haha!

It's now priced at RM739 instead of RM1688, which is having 56% off!! >_<

I have always been a fan of multi-purpose furnitures!

It's time to organize all my here-and-there accessories haha. I loooveeee the idea of "finished your makeup, dressed up, check your look with the full length mirror, finish off with few pieces of accessories and you're good to go!" Costs only RM380 and They even come in 4 different colours!

If you look at my currently-using luggage bag, you're soo gonna say that I'm old fashioned. haha. Luckily I don't travel much. travel as in going for holidays..it has really been a while. I'm so gonna compensate the lost time later this year with my family and friends! with this bag!! Affordable and so prettyyyy!! I really love the colour combo! pastel pink amd white, it couldn't get sweeter and more feminine! with protecting edge, TPR Eco friendly retractable handle, complementary password lock and 360 degree rotatable silence wheel making them cooler luggages that are only RM399 (for the two sizes luggages btw!) !

Lokching |ad|

Planning to organize a party? or maybe a casual get together with family or friends? And thinking what can you eat together? or what to do together? I have a suggestion! You need lokching! haha!

Ever heard about lokching??

I never did until my friend, Zana actually sell this. Basically lokching is fish satay which originally is from Kelantan. readily skewered and all I need to do is to boil, deep fry or grill before eat it with the super tasty homemade hot sauce! Tell you what, the hot sauce is very impressive! Taste like thai chilli sauce but better! Personally, I prefer eat them grilled because they give a different taste or else they're more like 'keropok lekor'.

because they're actually all precooked, it took only about 3 minutes to grill!

place your order now by contacting zana:

and happy eatingggggg!!

Belif - believe in truth : Brand and Store Launching

What come to your mind first when 'Korean Skincare' is mentioned? If you ask me, I would say the handsome and pretty Korean celebrities hahaha. I mean the faces they're showing as brand model on the packaging etc etc. Tell you what - this one has nothing to do with those celebrities! That's how different is this brand from others! At least that was the first one that impressed me. By the way this brand is called belif - believe in truth

Last week I went to belif's brand and store launching in Sunway Pyramid! *clap clap*

belif is the latest in Korean skincare innovation combining herbal traditions and modern Korean skincare technology - best known as for their authority in hydration products! They carry a philosophy of providing the most truthful and sincere products especially in term of ingredients.

Ingredients are all of natural herbs which means 0% of harmful chemicals! I get to try out and look at the various products they have to offer when I was there and guess what, to my surprise, all of them smell more or less the same. They smell herbally - something you can usually smell in spas which I loveeeeeeeeee so much!! Soothing and refreshing scent. As a sucker to a great-smelling products, I'm loving this brand even more since they are all free of fragrances that can irritate the skin! Well, that is also why they don't have any model because they don't want to waste money but instead, they will channel expenses more on the research on the herbs. (Y)

They have all sorts of skincare products ranges from RM45 - RM260 for diverse skin types and concerns. you name it; toner, moisturizer, essence, mist & first aid, sun protections etc. they even have products for men and baby as well as body products.

among all, there is a list of 5 tops products which I would say it's the must-try products:-

All of the products' packaging are very simple and modern. It's because belif demonstrates 100% full value by avoiding exaggerated over packaging. however, everything on the packaging is helpful enough for you to have the idea about the product.

Thanks to them, all the media people can to bring back 2 of their topmost products which are:
  1. The True Cream Aqua Bomb (RM155/50ml) and
  2. The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb (RM155/50ml)

how cool is that?! can't wait to try them out and write reviews! :)

Not yet impressed? Drop by belif shop in Sunway Pyramid at G1. 82a to witness all of those great products by yourself! If you sign up for their membership program, you can can privileges as follows:-

Everything credits to the Butterfly Project - Beauty Bloggers for inviting me!! XOXO

My 4 years in University Dinner Night Outfit

It's my final semester in University of Malaya! So I'm compiling my dinner outfit (outfit of the night) over the years hence the title heee.

*Fun fact: MAG (Malam Apresiasi Gemilang) is an annual dinner event for 12th residential college of University Malaya which I have been staying since my first year of degree studies haha.

MAG

1st year (2011/2012) - Colour Block

2nd year (2012/2013) - Bring Out Nature's Desire

3rd year (2013/2014) - Royal

4th year (2014/2015) - Black & White Masquerade

On the other hands, IR (Ingenieur) Night is an annual dinner event organized by my faculty (Faculty of Engineering).  I only attended twice and can't remember exactly the theme but I think both have something to do with Retro huhu

p/s: this is a post which I will certainly look for again when I am reminiscing school years hehe. perhaps you guys can get inspired too! ;D

Till then! Thanks! XOXO

MAG13: Black and White, Hijabi Masquerade Outift

Assalamualaikum everyone! Happy Sundayyyy!!

So..if you're already following me on social medias, you might saw me attend a dinner party (equals to prom night but without dance in Malaysia) and saw what I wore on that night. However, I guess I need to do this entry anyway since I need to give some credits to those who contributed especially for the partially sponsored dress from Zalora! Besides, how long has it been since I posted a fashion related entry? hehe

Maxi Dress - Zalia Zalora
Shawl - custom made and styled by myself and my sister, Nadhrah
Statement Necklace - Anyang
Wedges - Nichii
Stick Masque - Hello Planet, Midvalley
Makeup - by yours truly, of course haha

I'm loving everything about this dress! ; the print that's with a hint of blue and the leather-y arrow waistline. Fits perfectly and flares so beautifully.

Theme: A night in disguise; black and white, masquerade.

bought this black stick masque because all we had to do besides taking hundreds of photos is just eat and eat haha. practicality comes first pleaseeeeee hehe

Nude lips with smokey eyes makeup is always the best option for a night time event!

tips: statement necklace is usually quite short for hijabis, so, add few inches of chain so it hang just the right above the shawl.

Should have opt for a thicker platform wedges because the dress is very longgg -_-"

p/s: thanks nadh and CG for making my final college dinner a memorable one! :)

That's all for today! Thanks for readinggg!
